The game was released on the 27th of October 2017, and in the year or so since launch it has sold over 11 million copies.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was one of the very first games released alongside the Nintendo Switch. It launched in March of 2017 and it is still going strong to this day. Up until now, over 9.3 million copies of the game have been sold.
